How does subscription box fulfillment work?

PrepFort can assemble and fulfill approved recurring subscription boxes. The program can combine component receiving, inventory storage, kitting, branded packaging, inserts, quality checks, and scheduled DTC shipping.

Program setup

Provide the box specification, component SKUs and quantity per box, packaging and inserts, subscriber-order source, planned volume, assembly schedule, ship date, shipping rules, and substitution policy. Seasonal or changing box contents need a versioned build specification for each cycle.

Typical cycle

1. Components and packaging arrive through announced inbound purchase orders.
2. PrepFort counts the materials and reports shortages or damage.
3. The final bill of materials, artwork, and build standard are approved.
4. Boxes are assembled and quality checked to the approved specification.
5. Completed kits move to storage or directly into the scheduled order run.
6. Orders are packed, shipped, and returned tracking is synchronized through the approved channel.

Subscription box work is custom quoted based on components, labor, packaging, volume, storage, and shipping. Missing materials, late subscriber data, artwork changes, or specification changes can affect the schedule. Confirm component-arrival and order-data cutoffs in the written project plan.
