How does Shopify fulfillment work?

Shopify fulfillment uses PrepFort's DTC and multi-channel service, not the FBA/WFS prep portal.

  1. Connect the store

During onboarding, PrepFort connects the approved Shopify store to Packiyo so orders and inventory can synchronize. Use the authorized connection flow and do not send the primary Shopify password through chat.

  1. Receive and configure inventory

Create the inbound purchase order in Packiyo and follow the shipment-specific receiving instructions. PrepFort receives and counts the products, records required weights and dimensions, and sets up the SKUs in storage.

  1. Confirm fulfillment rules

Define the shipping goals, packaging, branded materials, inserts, bundles, fraud or hold rules, and return-disposition instructions before launch. Packing materials are billed at cost unless the signed quote says otherwise.

  1. Test the integration

Before normal fulfillment begins, confirm that a test order imports correctly, the right SKU and shipping service are selected, inventory changes as expected, and tracking is written back to Shopify.

  1. Fulfill orders

Eligible in-stock orders received before 1:00 PM ship the same business day. Orders with address issues, holds, shortages, backorders, custom work, hazmat restrictions, volume spikes, or carrier interruptions can take longer.

Shopify orders, inventory, shipments, and tracking are reviewed in PrepFort's Packiyo portal: https://prepfort.app.packiyo.com/login. Your signed agreement controls account-specific service levels and rules.
